Cancellation Policy

RVs & Tents- We require at least 48 hrs notice for  changes OR cancellations.  
Outside of the 48 hr window, your deposit will be refunded (minus a $10 cancellation fee).
If you cancel your reservation after the 48 hr window has passed, your full deposit will be forfeited.
Any changes to your reservation require 48 hrs notice. We do not refund for early check outs.

Camping Cabins- There is a 7 day cancellation policy.
If you cancel inside of 7 days, you forfeit your deposit.

We will send you a confirmation email to verify your cancellation. It is your responsibility to check your email to confirm that your reservation has been cancelled. If you do not receive the email, please contact us.

Check in and Check out

Check-In for RV and Tent Sites is 2 pm. We ask that you please do not arrive before this time as we are unable to accommodate RV parking elsewhere in the Resort. You may call the morning of your reservation and inquire if your site is available for early check-in. We charge a $10 per hour early check-in fee.

Check-In for Camping Cabins is 4 pm.

An Express Arrival email will be sent the day of your reservation.  If you read the rules and certify payment, your check-in will be quicker.  Please wait in line for more information about Costanoa and its amenities.  We do not check you in until you arrive in the park.

Check out is Noon.

After Hours Check Ins

-If you know you will arrive after hours please call us in advance so that we can make arrangements with you: 650-879-7302

-Should you have a reservation and arrive after the Kiosk has closed, your registration packet will be posted in the Night Registration Box located at the KOA Check In Kiosk. Security can assist you should you have questions.

-If you arrive after hours, please pick up your check in packet/parking pass even if you know the site number you are assigned. This will let us know that you are on the property and we can check you in the next morning. 

-Quiet time is 10 pm. We ask that you are mindful of this should you arrive after 10 pm. Please be respectful of other campers who may be sleeping when you pull in.

Quiet Time & Lights Out

Quiet time is 10 pm to 9 am.  All outdoor lighting should be turned off during these hours.

RV Hookups

Every RV site at Costanoa has full hookups.  Electric: 20, 30 and 50 amp at each site. 
Water: Water pressure is 110 psi, a water pressure regulator is highly recommended. 
Sewer: A screw-in sewer connection with locking elbow is REQUIRED, no bare hoses. NOTE: RV Rentals typically do not come equipped with a locking sewer elbow. If you plan to hook up to sewer, you will need to purchase one upon check-in. 
Cable: Cable TV is available, guests will need a coax cable.

Cellular Service

Verizon is currently the only cell service provider that works on property. There is a courtesy phone located in the lobby of the Costanoa Lodge which is accesible 24 hours.

WiFi

Free Wireless Internet is available on-site but is not guaranteed at every campsite.

RESTRICTIONS

RVs:  All guests staying in an RV site must have a self-contained recreational vehicle manufactured for camping. No sleeping in cars/vans/rooftop or truck bed tents, etc. Vehicles not manufactured for camping or in poor condition will not be admitted regardless of reservation status.  Car/vehicle camping is not allowed in the park.  Costanoa reserves the right to refuse any RV.
Vans must be self-contained and manufactured as an RV with hookups for water, power and/or sewer. 

Tents:  All guests staying in the tent camping area must pitch one or two tents within the fenced area. No wood/charcoal fires allowed in the Lighthouse tent sites. Propane fires are allowed. No sleeping in passenger vans/cars/rooftop or truck bed tents, etc. No tapuis. No pets allowed in tent sites. Camper vans are not allowed in tent sites. Must have a tent to pitch on the ground. 

All sites allow up to 6 registered guests, adults + children.  Only registered guests allowed in the campground.

Smoking at Costanoa

We are a non-smoking resort. Absolutely no smoking is allowed on property.

Fido at Costanoa

BREED RESTRICTIONS APPLY - See below

- Dogs are allowed in the RV park area only. We do not allow dogs at the Tent Sites.

- All dogs must be on a leash when outside of the RV and attended to at all times. If your dog is found to be off-leash, you will be asked to leave the property

- We are located next to a state property that does not allow dogs on the hiking trails or beaches across from the property.

- Only 1 dog family at a time in the dog park and limited to 10 minutes if others are waiting.

Breed Restrictions

Please remember that you are on private property. We are Pet Friendly with breed restrictions in place. Based on insurance requirements, we are unable to accommodate the following: Pit Bulls (Staffordshire Terriers), American Bully, American Bulldog, Rottweilers, Doberman Pinchers, Chows, Wolves or mixes thereof. If you arrive with one of the restricted breeds, you will need to make other arrangements for them or your reservation will be cancelled.

Animals, Birds & Bugs

During the season we have baby goats.  February & March you may see Elephant Seals at Ano Nuevo State Park across from us, do not approach.  There are skunks, raccoons and possible mountain lions on property.  Do not leave trash or food outside and do not walk alone early morning or evening.  Costanoa has many birds to see including Quails, Turkeys and Herons.  We have periodic bird watching classes.  Be prepared for various bugs, including bees, wasps, sand fleas and ticks.

Visitor Policy

We do not allow any outside visitors in the campground unless they are registered guests staying overnight, maximum of 6 people TOTAL per site. All guests must register and additional vehicles will be subject to a daily fee of $25, based on availability. Overflow parking is extremely limited and we cannot guarantee parking for additional vehicles.

Parking

Only 1 vehicle per site. We may not be able to accommodate overflow parking. If available, the extra vehicle fee is $25 per day per vehicle and the vehicle must be parked in the designated overflow parking area. 

REMINDER: Costanoa requires RVs/Vans to be manufactured for camping. We do not allow sleeping in passenger cars/vans.

Fire Policy

Fire rings or boxes are provided in all the RV sites.  Wood or charcoal fires are not allowed in the Lighthouse tent area. There are several grills and fire pits which are first come first serve in designated areas around the campground, weather permitting.  Propane fire pits are allowed. There is always the possibility that a fire ban will be put in place during your stay due to sustained high coastal winds or San Mateo County 'Spare the Air' alerts.

Flags

Only non-altered American flags are allowed on the property, no taller than your RV or tent.

Bicycles, Scooters & E-bikes

Non-motorized bicycles and scooters are allowed on property.  Wear helmets and do not ride through RV sites and landscaping.  Use lights if you ride after dark.

E-bikes: Class 1 and Class 2 are allowed and must obey the posted 5mph speed limit. Any guest asked more than once to obey the speed limit will lose the privilege of using the e-bike for the remainder of their stay.

Motorcycles, Golf Carts & Electric Dirt Bikes

Motorcycles need to be licensed. No mini electric motorcycles or electric dirt bikes.  Electric and battery operated golf carts are allowed.  Drivers need to have a driver's license and obey the posted speed limit of 5mph.  Please respect our property and our landscaping.
No off-roading anywhere on the property. 

Drones

Drones are prohibited at Costanoa.

Additional Fees

$50 Unattended fires or hot ashes left upon check-out
$50 If you move your firebox, table, grill, or furniture during your stay and do not return it to its original location 
$150 Sites left in poor condition and/or with trash. We do not offer site trash pick up at this location. Please use the receptacles provided. 
Minimum $150 cleanup fee for any sewage spills. Sewer connections are required to be secure and airtight at this location. If you do not have the proper equipment, please stop by the KOA kiosk and purchase a sewer elbow before dumping.

Lost or Missing Items

Costanoa KOA is not responsible for lost or missing items.  Please take caution and care with all valuables including electronic equipment, personal items, bikes, ect.  We strongly recommend all bikes are secured before leaving your site or turning in for the night.
